Readipop XOXO Showcases (Sat)

Saturday 12 September 2026

XOX is a heritage and innovation programme lead by the Readipop music charity, preserving iconic vintage synths and drum machines while building a creative community through workshops, events and Electronic Music Open Mics nights (RG EMOM).

The Readipop XOX Showcases at DATA 2026 will feature short sets from a selection of electronic music artists who have performed at RG EMOM or XOX Live events over the last year, reflecting the high level of talent and creativity demonstrated across the local electronic music scene.

Nostromo
12:30-12:45
Nostromo is the result of two jazz musicians falling in love with the weird and wonderful sounds and workflows made possible by modular synthesis, they also incorporate the occasional piece of hardware or software to extend the reach of sonic experimentation. They take inspiration from a wide variety of genres, the only rule being that it would feel at home in a sci-fi movie.

Projected Form

12:45-13:00

Projected Form is the electronic music project of Tim Horne, exploring hypnotic sound through the language of minimal techno. Drawing inspiration from the genre’s evolution throughout the 2000s and 2010s, the project moves between ambient drones, subtle textures, and deep cyclical grooves.

At its core, Projected Form seeks to induce trance-like states through rhythmic entrainment, using repetition, space, and gradual transformation to alter the listener’s perception of time. Each composition is an exploration of how little musical material is needed to create a rich, immersive experience—where form emerges from the interaction of evolving patterns rather than overt melodic or harmonic development.

Influenced by both electronic music and minimalist composition, Projected Form embraces restraint, allowing spaciousness, texture, and slow evolution to become the primary expressive elements.
