10 artists and performers, creating a day of Festival Art alongside Down at the Abbey 2023, led by Jelly and our invited friends The Disappointing Clown Company.

From 1pm until 6pm join us for a packed session of creative, free activities for all ages.

New for 2023, Jelly have created a special printing block inspired by Reading’s Bayeux Tapestry’s comet, in homage to the Friday headline act ‘The Comet is Coming’. Bring along a t-shirt, an item of clothing or a tote bag with you and the Jelly crew will help you print. If you forget, then head to the merchandise stall where you may be able to pick up a t-shirt. Jelly will also be running mask making, festival headdresses and a special drawing session.

1pm to 3:30pm – Masks and T-shirt Printing

3:30pm to 6pm – Festival headdresses and Life Drawing

The Disappointing Clown Company (1pm to 6pm)

Jelly friends, The Disappointing Clown Company, will be bringing along their own style of entertainment from pig racing to their unique disappointing face painting inspired by The River Thames, to clowning, sing alongs and dance routines.
